A little something to remember...
…today a teacher complimented me, saying that in the lighting within the room at sunset, I appeared angelic…
In days gone by, I would have swept the statement away, in a showing of false humility, which, let’s face it, is pride.
Today I was able to simply say thank you. And mean it. Because those few words made my day, which was not entirely in tune with the divine. But this felt good. And gave me something to align myself with, as best I can.
In that alignment (of sorts), I am inclined to consider reviving some of the social niceties that seem to have slipped into the void in this time of eternal scrolling and clicking. “Hello! How are you?” directed to those within the daily purview seems to be among the lost practices. Picking it up again could be revolutionary.
